Fritz-Zyme
Bacteria
There are quite a few live bacterial cultures on the market today,
but our favorite is the Fritz Industries Fritz-Zyme product line. We
have used these cultures under a wide variety of circumstances and have
always been very pleased with the results.
Due to the complex nature of this subject, we highly suggest that you
read the following articles before proceeding. It will only take you a
couple of minutes, but the effort will be worth it.

Fritz-Zyme TurboStart 700 (1 gallon)
A highly concentrated solution of live freshwater nitrifying
bacteria. Used in large holding systems, professional use and for
situations where large quantities of Fritz-Zyme are needed but shipping
weight may be a problem. One gallon of concentrate is equivalent to 15
gallons of regular Fritz-Zyme. Concentrate must be maintained in
refrigerated conditions at all times and its shelf life is three months.

Sludge
Degrading Bacteria
Fritz-Zyme 360 (25 lb bag)
New from the laboratories at Fritz Industries, Inc, a selected blend of
bacteria and enzymes designed to reduce sludge in ponds, water gardens
and large systems. Fritz-Zyme 360 contains a selected blend of bacteria
strains which can digest fats, oils grease, simple and complex proteins,
starch and other carbohydrates. Each batch is tested and standardized,
Non-toxic Non-pathogenic bacteria, Bacteria grow in presence or absence
of oxygen, Long shelf life, Easy to use and apply, Fresh and Saltwater
capability. Total bacteria: 2,400,000,000 / gram. Dosage:
Ponds 1 pound/acre-ft. (0.37 ppm) once or twice a month. For heavy
build-up treat weekly for three weeks, then once or twice a month
thereafter. Biofilters: 19.2 grams/1000 gallons (5.0 ppm) weekly. Water

This formula contains all known vitamins and minerals required by marine
life in the forms most readily accepted by such life. This proprietary
formula was created to replenish those elements extracted by RO/DI
systems and which are depleted by marine life during normal growth
processes. Recommended for closed systems using RO/DI water sources and
where water changes and new salt is seldom added. The benefits of using
a trace elements solution may be noted in color enhancement, growth and
